'Reform' May Still Depend On Abramoff

'Reform' May Still Depend On Abramoff

Here is a quote that made me spit my fine irish stout out my nose:

If Congress expands the so-called cooling-off period for ex-staffers, Dyer predicted, "a lot of talented people will be forced off the Hill."

After i collected myself, and cleaned off my monitor, i said to myself 'Who Fucking Cares!'

Lobbyists = Bad
PACs = Bad
Golf trips to Scotland to BRIBE elected officials = Bad

If these staffers are such talented and intelligent people, perhaps they might look into running for office themselves. Perhaps thy might look into taking their vast talent to a commercial level and seek employment outside of politics.

Lobbyists are the people who OUR elected officials listen to over us. They do what the money tells them, regardless of what we had voted for them to do. Left or Right, everyone screams corruptions and points fingers at their opponents, but now we have seen it. We have seen it with many many indictments now: Delay, Abramoff, Cunningham, Scanlon, Kiden, and though not indicted yet Blunt and Boehner.

Suck it up, and get those resumes on Monster you staffers, for the good of the country.
